Introduction: Every newly appointed teacher must attend an induction programme within one year of his/her appointment prior to his or her regularization/confirmation. The main purpose of the induction programme is to make a teacher aware of the administrative setup, sensitize him/her to classroom realities and understand the bond between different stakeholders for realizing the professional aspirations and developing as agents of socio-economic change and national development. The intent of a teacher induction program is to provide a systematic structure of support for beginning teachers. This professional development provides the beginning teacher with vital information on topics that are relevant to them during their first year in the classroom. Teacher induction is a professional development program that incorporates mentoring and is designed to offer support, guidance, and orientation for beginning teachers during the transition into their first teaching jobs. The topics for discussion will be as follows: Value-Based Education, Human Rights, Counselling & Mentoring, Academic Writing Skills, Challenges in Higher Education, Academic Integrity, Academic Collaborations, Indian Constitution, Microteaching, Women Empowerment, E-Learning, Interactive Learning Tools, MOOCs Moodle, Time & Stress Management, Health and Wellness, Disaster Management, Team Building, Food safety measures, Water Resource Management, Interpersonal Relationship and Mental Health etc. All the participants should take
Objectives: The main objective of the programme is to enable the teachers to discover themselves and their potential through a positive appreciation of their role in the total social, intellectual and moral universe within which they function and of which they are important members. In a country where teachers can fulfil their responsibility with awareness and confidence, the educational system becomes relevant and dynamic.

About Instructor: Dr.K.M.Sajad Ibrahim is a Professor in the Department of Political Science, University of Kerala. Currently, he is the Director (I/C) of UGH-Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) of the University of Kerala. He joined the University of Kerala in September 2005 as Lecturer. He had served as a Lecturer in the Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady, Kerala, and Research Associate in the Department of Politics and Public Administration in the University of Madras, Chennai. Dr.K.M.Sajad Ibrahim was the Head of the Department from June 2018 - May 2020. He also served as the Hon. Director of UGC-Nehru Studies Centre, the University of Kerala during 2011-18. As an expert in election studies, he is the Lokniti member of Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS), New Delhi and has been serving as its Kerala Coordinator since 2006. He is the resource person for various electronic and print media, UGC Human Resource Development Centres under the University of Kerala, University of Calicut and the University of Kannur. Moreover, he is the external evaluator of various Universities like JNU, New Delhi, Central University of Hyderabad, University of Pune, University of Mysore, University of Madras, Kuvempu University, Shankarghatta, Karnataka, Jain Deemed-to-be University, Bangalore, University of Calicut, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam etc. He secured the first rank in M.A. Political Science from the University of Kerala in 1990.
