Introduction: "Advancing Curriculum Development, Pedagogy, and Assessment Strategies for Enhanced Teaching and Learning"  Overview : This Faculty Development Program (FDP) at YCMOU aims to empower educators with advanced knowledge and skills in curriculum development, innovative pedagogical techniques, and effective assessment strategies. The program focuses on the holistic development of faculty members to enhance their teaching practices, align with contemporary educational standards, and ultimately improve student learning outcomes. By integrating new pedagogies, diverse teaching models, and comprehensive assessment methods, this FDP seeks to create a robust framework for educational excellence.  Curriculum Development The curriculum development component will emphasize designing and structuring courses that meet the needs of diverse learners. Faculty members will learn about various curriculum development models, the importance of aligning curricula with learning objectives, and strategies for creating engaging and relevant course content. About Instructor: Emeritus Prof. Kavita Suresh Salunke currently serves as the Director of the School of Online Learning and the Prof. Ram Takwale Research Center at Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU), Nashik. She holds an impressive array of academic qualifications including a M.Ed., MA in Economics, MA in Subject Communication, MADE, and a PhD. Born on July 12, 1963, in Nampur, she is married to Suresh salunke and has two sons. Her educational journey spans prestigious institutions like Pune University and YCMOU. Prof. Salunke has held several significant positions, including Director and Professor at the School of Education, YCMOU, Nashik, Ex-Director of the School of Education, and Executive Director of Sanwad Patrika at YCMOU. She is a Life Member of the All India Association for Educational Research and the Economic Council of India, and a member of the Distance Education and Global Educational Research Council Association. She has also been associated with the Maharashtra State Secondary Teacher Educators Association and serves on various advisory editorial committees such as Shikshan Mitra, Mumbai, and Marmadrushti, Nashik. Her contributions extend to national committees, including the Zonal Committee of RCI and the NCTE VT team, and she is an active member of the Board of Studies in Jalgaon University, School Council, Academic Council, and Board of Studies at YCMOU. Her academic contributions are extensive, having supervised 15 completed PhDs, with 4 in progress,

Assessment Plan Method: The participants are required to be evaluated for 100 marks as per UGC guidelines and graded according to their performance. The grading system provided by UGC is: A+ (85% and above), A (70% to less than or equal to 84%), B (60%to less than or equal to 69), C (50% to less than or equal to 59%) Those participants who score less than 50 marks will not be given a certificate. Participants have to repeat the course at their own expenditure. Standard evaluation criteria that can be implemented are listed below.
