Introduction: |
The Short Term Course in Environmental Conservation in Indian Context was organised by UGC-MMTTC, SGBAU, Amravati from 21 – 26 August 2023. Environment is our surrounding consisting of living and non living matter. Obviously health and status of our surrounding will affect our heath and status too. Other animal species will also get affected by change in environment. Industrialisation and development in each field as per theneed of human being along with population expansion caused harm to environment and natural resources. It is now became an urgent need to take steps for environment protection. Environmental conservation is practice of protecting environment and its resources from getting polluted and deteriorated due to human activities. Human need of development is accepted but it should not be at the cost of environment. Environmental conservation protects wildlife and promotes biodiversity. We can prevent extinction of animal and plant species by maintaining health of different ecosystems. We can change today’s unsustainable approach of agriculture to sustainable one. Other good practices can be started by avoiding deforestation and burning of fossil fuels. Simple practices of adopting 3 R includes reduce, reuse, recycle will help to conserve our environment. |
