Introduction: New Frontiers of Library and Information Science Libraries are already well on their way to increasing the percentage of their collections that are digital and available remotely hence as many library patrons prefer to access library materials in this manner. The pandemic also proved library's role as a community space for meetings, job searches, teaching etc. Now a days libraries are transforming their spaces to reach more users through their innovative services. These new trends in library and information science translate into ever-increasing access to greater amounts of information for everyone, and more and better ideas as to what can be done with that information. The Refresher Course will be a significant instrument to rejuvenate the library and information skills, trends and other technological advancements. This programme is especially designed from the perspective of library professionals to understand the new technology and its uses in the library services and its allied areas.

To handle ICT tools for delivering user services 4. To explore innovative areas of research in Library and Information Science 5. To enhance latest research metrics 6. About Instructor: Mini Devi. B got her Ph.D in Library & Information Science from the Cochin University of Science & Technology, Kerala in 2006. She worked in The British Library, Trivandrum from 1993 to 1994 as Library Trainee, and worked as Librarian in Model Engineering College, Ernakulum under Institute for Human Resources Development for Electronics from 1994 to 1996. She joined the University of Kerala as a library assistant in 1996 and served as Assistant Librarian up to 2011. Now working as Assistant Professor and Former Head of the Department in the Dept. of Library & Information Science of the University of Kerala since 2011. She is also a research guide at the University of Kerala and Chairman, Board of Studies in the University of Kerala, Board of Examiners in the University of Kerala, and the University of Calicut, Resource Person for refresher courses at the University of Kerala and Calicut. She has published 4 books and more than 200 research articles in various national and international journals and conference proceedings. During the period she served as Hon. Director, Centre for Information Literacy Studies and University Institute of Technology.
