| Objectives: | Further, the teacher also get an opportunity to widen their outlook and inculcate social commitment with the following objectives: Understand the significance of education in general and higher education in particular with regard to National policies and International standards Understand the linkages between education and the socio-economic and cultural development with particular reference to Indian policy where secularism and egalitarianism are the tenets of society Understand the role of a College / University teacher in the National goal of achieving a secular and egalitarian society Acquire and improve skills of teaching at the College / University level |
