| Introduction: | A two-week refresher course for Chemistry teachers was organized by the UGC-Human Resource Development Centre, Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati from 10-22th October 2022 on a Theme entitled, “Theory, Research, and Innovation in Chemical Education” which was inaugurated on 10th October 2022 virtually by Honourable Vice-Chancellor Professor Dileep N. Malkhede, Dr. Nasir Baig, Ash Stevens, United States, Dr. Manoj Gawande, Associate Professor, ICT Mumbai-Marathwada Campus, Jalna, Dr. Rajesh Bhoyar, Assistant Professor, SGBAU, Amravati, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Head, PGTD of Chemistry were grace this occasion, they emphasizes on the need for chemistry teachers to update their knowledge so that they could share among the students, they also encouraged chemistry faculty to do innovative research for the welfare of society by sharing the application of technology for a better understanding of the subject. Dr. Manisha M. Kodape, Associate Professor and Course Coordinator of the programme has delivered the welcoming speech and Dr. J.M. Barabde, Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, was also present for the inaugural program. This refresher course in chemistry was an excellent opportunity for professionals to update their knowledge and skills in the subject. |
| Objectives: | • To provide a deeper understanding of the fundamental principles of chemistry and their practical applications in various fields. • To review and update knowledge and skills that have been previously learned. • To enhance performance by updating the information in recent trends in chemistry for collaborative research. • To create awareness and linkage between society, environment, development and education. • To enhance communication skills, critical thinking, problem solving, scientific reasoning and ethical decision making. • To get acquainted with information and media literacy, capability to use ICT tools in different situations |

| About Instructor: | Dr. Manisha M. Kodape working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati. She has total seventeen years of teaching, two years at JDPS Mahavidyalaya Daryapur and nearly four years at Department of Chemistry, SP Pune University, Pune and eleven years of Research Experience, Recognized Ph.D. Supervisor (Notification No.135/2014), Two students awarded with the Ph.D. degree, completed one Minor Research Project of (UGC-WRO) as a Co-investigator, Senate Member SGBAU Amravati, Member of Board of Studies in Chemistry (Faculty of Science) under 40(2) (b) (i). Working as a member of IQAC and Warden, Girls’ Hostel, focusing, monitoring and working on the development, security and facility for the students. In-Charge of Chemical Society in the Department of Chemistry, SGBAU for the period 2012-2017.
